To be able to use my patterns you must follow these simple rules!

All patterns on this site, unless otherwise stated are ©2004,2005,2006,2007,2008, Rebecca Kuck of and for The Golden Thimble. The patterns on this site are not intended for commercial use in any form, and are provided only for home and personal use. Publicly displaying them at shows or for sale, without my knowledge and permission is prohibited by law!  

You may not use my patterns in a teaching environment unless you have my permission first! I have given permission in the past to individuals to use patterns from my site for classes so it is something that I would consider....but only if you ask me first! 

You may not copy them and share them, unless you have my permission first! You may not copy them and sell them to make profit. You may not claim them as your work. You may not display them on another web site, newsletter or magazine without my prior knowledge and permission. You may not enter contests using my patterns without my permission. They may be used in your family gifts.

I love to make these patterns available for everyone, but there is a lot of work that goes into the process and the cost of the copyright. The web site is funded totally my me and the small sales of my patterns. It does cost money to keep a large site like mine and like a lot of others operating. Please be respectful of a designers copyrights, no matter whose web site it is that you are visiting! This keeps the patterns free for everyone. I would hate to think that the quilting web communities that now feature free patterns would have to revert to a paid membership only format, just because a few people wanted a free pattern to share at their local quilters Guild, etc.
