January Sunshine Block 2007

Instructions given are for a single block

There are 9 "Sunshine" blocks in this quilt

The finished sashing is 2 inches wide by 72 1/2 inches long and is of the background fabric

You will cut 2 strips that are 2 1/2 inches wide by Width of Fabric and then sew them together to make one long strip and cut to 73 inches long, this will go between your first and second row.

You will need ½ yard of yellow fabric and ½ yard of background fabric for the 9 Sunshine blocks

Using a scant 1/4 inch seam, piece together your block using the diagram below as a guide! Please watch your seam allowances closely on this block!! This block is 8 inches by 8 inches when finished into the quilt. Your block is going to measure 8 1/2 by 8 1/2 after you are finished sewing it together!
