For the 4 Fall Flowers Blocks in this quilt
You will need:
| Background Fabric | 1/8 yard |
| Gold Fabric | scraps |
| Red Fabric | 1/8 yard |
| Green Fabric | 1/8 yard |
|
Basic Instructions for the Fall Flowers Blocks Print out the PDF file that has the four paper pieced blocks. Cut apart and sew. Please add a 1/4" seam all around the edge when trimming the blocks. Use a 1.5 stitch length to sew to make tearing the paper off easier. You don't have to buy special paper for this, some do, I don't. I use regular printer paper to do this and it works just fine!

For those of you who don't know how to paper piece! |
|
First off, don't be afraid, try it, you might like it. And it does take a little practice! Once you get the hang of it, you are hooked! If you just can't do it then feel free to insert any 6 inch block of your choosing, but.......I still want you to at least give it a try, this is an easy beginner block. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!! I have faith!! :)

I learned how to do this from one of the best! Marcia Hohn of the Quilters Cache has the best paper piecing tutorial I have found on the web. Step by step instructions, with pictures, so nice and clear that I could never write those instructions better than she has, so I am not even going to try! Go here and take a look and see a great tutorial on how to do this!! |
